Qualifications for This Office: I have served as Township Trustee since 2006. Prior to that, I served on the Lake County Planning Commission and the Concord Township Comprehensive Plan Citizens Advisory Committee. Currently I also serve on the Executive Board of the Coalition of Large Ohio Urban Townships (CLOUT) within the Ohio Township Association.
What do you consider the most difficult challenge facing this office and how would you address this challenge?
From a macro standpoint, the greatest challenge is balancing the townships’ growth while strengthening our sense of community and preserving our semi-rural character, while being a part of “the solution” for growing NE Ohio’s economy. Concord must also develop a long range plan for maintaining our road infrastructure.

What do you consider the most difficult challenge facing this office and how would you address this challenge?
In dealing with the challenge of 11-13% reduction in Concord’s tax revenue, I will continue to demonstrate proactive leadership and expand alternate revenue streams such as the Joint Economic Development District (JEDD) established in 2008. Moreover, smart growth principles and government alliances are leading to Concord business expansion.

What do you consider the most difficult challenge facing this office and how would you address this challenge?
Growth and its thoughtful progression are pivotal to Concord Township. Specifically, growth should occur where it is currently zoned to expand, but it should be allowed with emphasis on ensuring safety to the community and a maintaining of Concord Township's unique natural features, rural setting and beauty for future generations.
