What do you consider the most difficult challenge facing this office and how would you address this challenge?
An ever growing challenge for Lake County Educational Service Center is to identify the service that schools and the community need and work with the State Department of Education to provide the proper services for our community.

What do you consider the most difficult challenge facing this office and how would you address this challenge?
Providing needed services with reduced funding... I will continue to provide fiscally responsible governance and support programming that is innovative, effective and responsive to the districts we serve. I will encourage vocationally oriented programs for all students including those with special needs and those that improve math and science achievement.

Qualifications for This Office:
In my position as a social worker for Job and Family Services I work daily with children and see the effect education may or unfortunately in many cases does not have in our children's lives.
Good education is extremely important not only in the community but also for these children and families affected to improve their lives and the community in general. I believe my work experience, education and passion will allow me to make valuable input to this board.
What do you consider the most difficult challenge facing this office and how would you address this challenge?
1) Eliminate administrative expenses and waste in the Lake County Educational Service Center's nearly $20 million dollar budget.
2) Look for ways to strengthen key programs such as the Center's Lake Academy, vocational transition program, and the Porter Science Center.
3) Improve the shared services provided to the Riverside, Madison, Kirtland, Perry, and Painesville City local school districts particularly in the areas of special education and with abused/neglected children.
4) Direct cost savings to directly educating children in these local districts.
